PSOH monitors state legislation and regulations that impact cancer care on behalf of its members and its members' patients. The Society has commented on a number of bills before the Legislature and provided testimony at a hearing for off-label prescribing. Below are more recent examples:

Substituting generic drugs without physician permission for biosimilars: In July 2011, PSOH wrote to the Pennsylvania Department of Health seeking clarification to the state law that permits pharmacists to substitute generic drugs without physician permission.
