Membership Categories
Clinicians and individuals who work for commercial entities are not eligible for individual membership in PSOH.
Physician members shall be physicians (MD or DO) licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania or adjoining states with a demonstrated interest and involvement in the care of patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders, as approved by the Membership Committee and the Board. Physician members are entitled to vote, serve on committees, and to hold office.
1 Year $150
2 Years (5% discount) $285
3 Years (10% discount) $405
Non-physician members shall be allied health clinicians, including registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, cancer registrars and social workers or other health care clinicians as approved by the Membership Committee and the Board, with a demonstrated interest and involvement in the care of patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders. Non-physician members are entitled to vote, serve on committees, and to hold office.

Medical, Surgical, and Radiation Oncology and Hematology Trainee/Fellow members shall be physicians who are actively enrolled in a full time fellowship program deemed appropriate by the Membership Committee. Trainees/Fellows in Medical, Surgical and Radiation Oncology and Hematology members shall be exempted from dues for the duration of their training and may vote, serve on committees, and hold office.
Complimentary through End of Training
Resident/Student members shall either be physicians who are actively enrolled in a full time residency program in Pennsylvania or adjoining states deemed appropriate by the Membership Committee or a medical students enrolled full time in a fully accredited medical school in Pennsylvania or adjoining states, as approved by the Membership Committee, who has a demonstrated interest in the care of patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders. Resident/Student members shall be exempted from dues for the duration of their training. Resident/Student members may not vote, hold office, or serve on committees.

Meetings
PSOH holds its one-day scientific meeting every fall. The location rotates between eastern, central, and western Pennsylvania. The meeting covers a wide range of topics. Click here for more information.
Representation
At the state level, PSOH has a seat on the Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee. A cancer issue is discussed at nearly every meeting. PSOH also holds a seat on the Pennsylvania House of Delegates, which provides input to the Pennsylvania Medical Society’s Board of Trustees.
Legislative Advocacy
PSOH monitors state legislation and regulations that impact cancer care. The Society comments on a number of bills before the Legislature and collaborates with ASCO and other stakeholders to amplify its voice.
Member Communications
Email allows us to provide members with timely information on issues affecting cancer care and on upcoming events. The PSOH website at www.psoh.org and social media provide members with up-to-date information on the Society’s upcoming events, Medicare changes, and legislative and regulatory issues. It also has a job bank for career opportunity listings.
